Cliff Bleszinski, design director per i titoli di Epic Games, ha rilasciato alcuni dettagli sugli Achievements di Gears of War 2 e sui suoi elementi sbloccabili attraverso il predecessore, Gears of War, oltre ad un importante notizia: Gears of War 2 non verrà mai pubblicato in versione PC, diversamente dal primo capitolo.

Grazie alla lista è svelato (credo) il mistero di Carmine: sembra che di Carmine ce ne siano 2 (Anthony e Ben) quindi immagino che non ci sia nessuna resurrezione ma più probabilmente saremo accompagnati da un suo fratello (che si spera abbia più fortuna )

Achievements abbastanza facili e molto belli.

Sei capitoli per ogni atto, quindi sono circa 30

Per l'obbiettivo dei 1999 turni dice che bisogna giocarli, non vincerli, quindi se giochiamo a 19 turni dovremmo sbloccarlo tutti in poco più di 100 partite

Per le 100000 kill è più complicato, se si ha una media di 1 kill a turno (è quisi ridicolo fare una media quindi ho preso qualla più semplice ) sono più di 5600 partite da 19 turni

EDIT: Ho fatto un confronto con halo, sappiamo tutti che in halo si fanno molte più kill che in Gow, la mia media di kill per partita è circa di 8 ed in un anno ho fatto poco più di 20000 kill (20122 kill in 1771 partite [non ho contato le kill fatte in custom]) questo obbiettivo sembra "un pelino" impossibile

secondo me quell'obiettivo tiene conto anche delle uccisioni delle locuste sia in single player che nella mod. cooperativa dove si affrontano gruppi enormi di nemici (c'è scritto Uccidi 100,000 enemies [Qualsiasi modalità]).
Se è così si può fare, ci vorrà tempo ma è cmq meno impossibile

Questo non c'entra nulla con gli obbiettivi di Gow 2, però mi sembrava inutile aprire una nuova discussione.

Commenti di un fortunato che ha provato Gow 2:

Basically, this is what I noticed:

-Game does not run as smooth as GoW 1 and gets very choppy at times especially when cars blow up (you also get stuck on the debris of the car explosion a lot).

-Sniper does not active down anymore (most knew this but thought I would just confirm it again)

-You pretty much have to L trigger now when you shotgun. If you blind fire with it....it does little to no damage - even if you are point blank. Only time you can really no scope with the shotgun is if you do the melee and then shoot.

-Moving from walls to the roadie run is much faster with way less animation time.

-The shotgun seems a little weaker and it is way less accurate (especially considering this was a 5v5 lan)

-In re spawn game modes there is a 3-5 second invulnerability time when you spawn

-The biggest thing I noticed is the melee and then shotgun combo is not only still in the game...but it is easier than ever. If you get close to someone and can pull a melee off it is pretty much a guaranteed kill now.

-When someone chainsaws and they get shot, it no longer stuns them. So basically, you have to down the guy before he chainsaws you.

-You can now kill people during animations (chainsaw, special executions, ect.)

-The lancer is just as weak as it is in GoW 1.

-When you shoot at someone roadie running at you it does slow them down but it isn't to a point that it ruins the game and is not that noticeable.

-I played one of the new levels (no idea the name) and it was pretty big and not fun at all (and this was 5v5)

-When you torque bow someone, a big puff of smoke appears around them to let you know you hit them.

-Boom shot shoots VERY slow now but does way more damage

-Sniper sounds so weak right now it honestly sounds like you aren't even shooting it.

-The pistol seems a little weaker, not to mention you can't shoot it quite as fast (I have no idea why)

Overall, the game is still pretty fun but not nearly as good as GoW 1. It took about an hour of playtime before I could get over the choppy game play and lack of of skill, but there is no way it will be as competitive as GoW 1; however, it will still be a competitive game.



Altra notizia, anche se non so quanto possa essere vera (a me sembra una cavolata) l'ha scritta un utente di Spaziogames ma senza citarne la fonte: sembrerebbe che Gow 2 avrà 18 atti (quindi 108 capitoli )

Ma chi le ha scritte quelle cose? Un gay sonaro che poi è passato alla bungie? Mio Dio che assurdità.

Veramente le ha scritte un fan del primo Gow che ha avuto modo di provare Gow 2, quindi non puoi sapere se sono assurdità o meno

raga io dico di aspettare l'uscita del gioco o almeno di vedere un video di gameplay fatto per bene così da poter constatare da soli cosa è cambiato...

cmq le cose dite dal tizio, alcune erano già state dette da Epic (vedi cecchino che non abbatte più con ricarica attiva), altre invece sono giustificabili (come l'impossibilità di bloccare uno che ti viene incontro con la motosega accesa o la combo pugno-pompa potenziata).

Infine per quanto riguarda il frame-rate è una cosa che da qui a Novembre può essere benissimo migliorata d'altronde tutti i video che ho visto anche multy non rallentavano affatto
